Clare hurling stars enjoy weekend off in Kilkenny pub

Some of the Clare senior hurling team including Tony Kelly and Shane O'Donnell enjoyed a rare weekend off in Kilkenny in 2024, visiting the Marble City and stopping off for a pint in Sean Byrne's at Hackett's Bar.

The duo have had a month to remember as The Banner won their first All-Ireland title in 11 years and only the fourth in their history after beating Cork after extra-time in a memorable All-Ireland Hurling Final.

The inter-county hurlers weren't the only All-Ireland winners in Kilkenny that weekend with 1993 All-Ireland Football winning player and former Sunday Game analyst Joe Brolly also visiting the county.
