Kilkenny's Caoimhe Dowling
Kilkenny centre-back, Caoimhe Dowling believes Saturday's Very Camogie League 2-18 to 2-13 win over Waterford could be a positive turning point for the county, hailing the team's continued 'hard work' despite a difficult spell of results.
"It's nice just to get a bit of momentum going and everyone in there works so hard so it's nice to see the hard work is paying off," Dowling told the Kilkenny People Sport Podcast.
"It's always nice to play in Nowlan Park and extra nice to get a win," she commented, adding, "we'll look at what went well today and bring that into training and hopefully we'll get another good result next weekend."
Meanwhile, team-mate Steffi Fitzgerald described her team-mates as 'deadly', but acknowledged a good performance is now a must against Dublin this weekend.
"The girls on that team are deadly and it was just about us going out and showing that confidence and aggression that we know we're capable of doing and that's what we did today, it's why it clicked for us."
"We got the win but there's no point winning today if we're not going to go out and put on a performance against Dublin next week," she concluded.
