Kilkenny manager Derek Lyng offers injury update on Adrian Mullen and Shane Murphy

Kilkenny manager, Derek Lyng doesn't expect Adrian Mullen and Shane Murphy to feature over the next few weeks after both players picked up injuries in the county's Leinster Championship win over Galway on Saturday.

"The next few weeks are out for them," Lyng told the media after the match, but did note further assessments were needed before the full extent of their injuries would be known.

"I just don't know yet how serious they are but fingers crossed. We'll get them assessed over the next few days as soon as we can and start the recovery process," he added.

However, despite those two setbacks, the Emeralds clubman was pleased with his team's performance.

"I thought as the game went on we settled into it and our work rate and our attitude was good," the Kilkenny manager said.
