Kilkenny handballer makes history in All-Ireland Singles Final

Jack Doyle became the first handballer in Windgap Handball Club to win the intermediate Leinster singles title on Saturday beating Kevin Diggins of Kildare 21-13, 17-21 and 11-5 in the tie-breaker having overcome his fellow county man Brian Mahon over two games in the semi-final.

The championship saw half the entrants from Kilkenny with the black and amber’s Ciaran Neary and Kyle Jordan joining James Willoughby and Keith Kavanagh of Wicklow and John Kavanagh of Wexford in the quarter-finals.
