What’s the difference between the Leinster and Munster Hurling Championship? One sided or disappointing games are not a rarity in the much heralded Munster Championship, but are not expected. This is due to the expectation created by past years and media of great matchups in every game. What removes the bareness of a poor game in Munster is the presence in the main is packed or large numbers of spectators.

Leinster Championship hurling is in the main equally exciting, competitive, skilled and the outcome in most games worth waiting for. The hurling is more thoughtful and seems less off the cuff than Munster. What is different is the lack of expectation
of the excitement of a Leinster game in comparison to Munster? Crowds are smaller as a result and big Leinster games are missing that buzz of big Munster games.
