Hugely respected ex-Kilkenny senior hurling manager and player received plenty of well wishes last weekend as the Village stalwart celebrated his 71st birthday on Saturday.
Cody won All-Ireland medals as a manager and player, with arguably his most successful period as county boss coming with the four-in a row winning side 2006-09.
Last year, the the former Kilkenny senior hurling manager revealed he knew he was going to stand down as county boss prior to the Cats' All-Ireland Hurling Final loss to Limerick in 2023.

"It wasn't a knee jerk reaction after a match, I knew at the time (I was going to stand down)," Cody commented, adding, "I had my mind made up."
