Graigue Ballycallan manager Richie O'Neill has admitted the current club league/championship structure is 'hard going' with a number of clubs losing key players due to injury.
Graigue Ballycallan and Mullinavat played out an entertaining draw for the second year in a row in Group B of the St Canice's Credit Union Senior Hurling League last weekend, with a break still two weeks away!
Club players in Kilkenny are facing into their third round of matches in a row, a system which poses challenges for managers, selectors and physios but also makes for a 'brilliant championship' according to O'Neill.
The 'Sky Blues' now look forward to a tasty encounter with old foes Tullaroan, a team without the services of Tommy Walsh and Shane Walsh through injury.
"It's hard going, the pitches are hard. You see lads going down with ankles, twists, knocks. Unfortunately, every team seems to be getting an injury or two. The physios are going to be busy with recovery and looking after lads," O'Neill told the KCLR Hurling Podcast.

"Looking forward to next week again, it comes thick and heavy. It's a brilliant championship," he added.
