Eight-time All-Ireland winner with Kilkenny Eddie Brennan is one of two additions to Derek Lyng’s backroom team for 2026.

The Irish Independent are reporting that the Graigue Ballycallan man, a former Kilkenny under-21 manager and Laois senior hurling boss, has been drafted in as a forwards coach.

Kilkenny will be hoping to end an 11 year wait for an All-Ireland title in 2016, with former Dublin defender Niall Corcoran also taking up a role in Lyng's managerial team.

The additions of Brennan and Corcoran set to be rubberstamped at a Kilkenny county board meeting next week.
