Kilkenny club likely to be without key player as County Board hand down suspension

The Rower Inistioge are likely to be without a key figure for a period of two matches in the Michael Lyng Motors Hyundai Intermediate Hurling League/Championship CRKC Sport are reporting.

Centre-back Shane Ryan is understood to have received a two match ban for an incident at the end of their recent win over St Lachtain’s.

The incident was not reported by the referee but the County Board subsequently investigated the matter and issued the suspension.

The Rower Inistioge are believed to be appealing the suspension ahead of their final Group B game of the league stages this weekend.

The southern club will face Danesfort in a match which will determine whether they will qualify for a league, shield final or drop to the third in the group and be forced into the first round of the championship.
