New footpath linking Kilkenny area to GAA pitch in the pipeline

Kilkenny County Council are undertaking further works at Rossinan in Kilmacow this week to create a passing lane under the Low-Cost Safety Scheme. A traffic management scheme will be in place for the duration of the works.

Meanwhile, at its recent meeting, the Piltown Municipal District Committee received a design for a footpath connecting the Kilmacow village to the hurling pitch. However, the District Committee agreed to meet again to re-examine the Feasibility Study and to review the project with a view to bringing forward a proposal that will be submitted to public consultation as part of a Part VIII planning process.
