Kilkenny forward Billy Ryan has hailed the standard of the St Canice's Credit Union SHC, claiming the competition is by no means a drop in standard for returning inter-county players.
"No, if anything it nearly gets more intense," Ryan told the Kilkenny People Sport Podcast.

"The Kilkenny season is so long but like say we go back pre-season with Kilkenny in November the last few years and the boys in the club are nearly back the same time like so the two of us nearly start our season at the same time," he continued.
"The standard of hurling is absolutely incredible in Kilkenny (club)," Ryan said, adding, "you know even if you're 1% off in a Kilkenny senior championship game you're going to be rolled over. You have to be on your game, I wouldn't say you could relax at all."
