Graigue Ballycallan and Erin's Own claim Kilkenny Under 21 Hurling titles

Graigue Ballycallan are Kilkenny Under 21 Roinn A winners for just a second time ever after they defeated Dicksboro in a thrilling decider that went all the way to extra-time.

Dicksboro were looking to win the county underage crown for a third successive season but helped by an opening half Aaron McEvoy goal, Ballycallan made all the early running.

A driven Cillian Hackett goal four minutes into the second half brought the teams level but again Ballycallan went clear with McEvoy, Ryan Corcoran and Paidi Egan all pointing as the finishing line moved within sigh for the Kilmanagh outfit.

The Boro turned the game on it's head in the final few minutes with a Matthew Kelleher goal and points from Patrick Lacey and Sam O'Shea edging the defending champions into a narrow one point advantage.

A last gasp Cormac Neary free then levelled the game for Ballycallan at the death before extra-time followed with the score after 60 minutes reading, 2-12 to 1-15.

Points from Conor Walton, Billy O'Neill and Ryan Corcoran proved to be enough as the side in Sky Blue battled to a one point win in the end and a first championship success since 1997.

The Roinn B Final took place on Saturday afternoon involving Erin's Own of Castlecomer and Emeralds.

With a sizeable wind playing it's part, the Emeralds led at the break by a point with Alex Burke, Oisin Deegan and Darragh Queally leading the charge but the final clash was turned on it's head in the second period.

Erin's Own outscored their opponents 0-12 to 0-7 in the second 30 minutes with Michael Brennan, James Coogan and Eoin Brennan starring in a four point victory come the final whistle.
