Cats boss Derek Lyng has been without the services of a number of key players in recent weeks, including; Adrian Mullen, David Blanchfield and Fionan Mackessy while Billy Ryan and Huw Lawlor have departed on their travels.

"There's a lot of new players there, it's a fairly new team but I think the work we've put in over the last few weeks shows we are progressing as a team and next weekend will be a big test to see how far we've come," Keoghan told the Kilkenny People Sport Podcast.

"We have loads of options. It's not down to one or two individuals to make up for Huw (Lawlor) or Billy (Ryan)," he continued, adding, "I think it's a collective thing and we have loads of options there."

"There's a lot of opportunities for lads," Keoghan claimed.

"Because it's week on week, probably not everyone is going to be able to play all of the league matches so you do need a panel to give lads a chance to stand in and impress."
