Cian Lynch, of Limerick, is tackled by Jordan Molloy of Kilkenny during the 2024 Allianz Hurling League Division 1 semi-final at SuperValu Páirc Ui Chaoimh in Cork
Kilkenny will look to make it two wins from two in Division 1A of the Allianz Hurling League campaign on Sunday away to Limerick in a crucial fixture at the TUS Gaelic Grounds.
The Cats opened their Division 1A campaign with a hard-fought 0-20 to 0-16 victory over Offaly.
John Kiely's Limerick side opened their league programme with a disappointing 1-21 to 0-20 defeat to a rejuvenated Waterford side at Azzurri Walsh Park on Sunday last.
Reflecting on their opening day win, Kilkenny manager Derek Lyng told Kilkenny Live: “We are going to find out a huge amount about our players over the next few weeks and while it will be competitive, we want to stay up so we’re happy to get up and running with two points on the board.
“We’ll train through the next two weeks and we might get a game too but it’s a great test for us and we look forward to it.”
