The Kilkenny team to face Waterford in their third match of the Allianz Hurling League in UPMC Nowlan Park on Sunday afternoon has been named.

Bennettsbridge clubman David Blanchfield makes his first competitive start of 2026 in midfield in a welcome boost for Cats manager Derek Lyng.

The match is significant in the Division 1A standings where the winner will take a major step away from the relegation trapdoor.

The local derby has a 1.45pm throw-in and the game will be screened live on TG4 as Derek Lyng's Cats look to pick up a second win of the campaign.
