Kilkenny manager Derek Lyng is set to give Ed McDermott his first start in the Allianz Hurling League this weekend.
It's the final home league game for the Cats as they go in search of a third win in this season's Division 1A campaign, with away ties against Galway and Tipperary still to come.
The James Stephens clubman is selected to play at corner-forward in what otherwise is a familiar starting 15.
McDermott came on as a substitute in the Cats' 1-21 to 1-20 defeat of Waterford last Sunday, notching a point in the second half.
