Niall Corcoran and Eddie Brennan
Kilkenny midfielder Cian Kenny has commended the contributions of selectors Eddie Brennan and Niall Corcoran to the county’s 2026 squad, describing their impact as 'savage' and acknowledging the 'massive respect' they enjoy within the panel.
Brennan is an eight-time All-Ireland winner with Kilkenny (2000-2011) and previously worked with Corcoran during his time with Cuala and Laois.
Kilkenny and Tipperary will round off their Division 1A hurling league campaign when they face off in the final round of action on Saturday night with both counties assured of maintaining their places in the top tier.
However, all eyes will be on Derek Lyng's Kilkenny team as they take to the field for the first time since their heavy 18 point loss to Galway in Salthill so a much improved display is anticipated.

"The two lads are savage, Eddie (Brennan) is a Kilkenny legend and Niall (Corcoran) is a stalwart of the game. Both Niall and Eddie have a knowledge of the game, which is just outrageous," Kenny told an episode of the Kilkenny People Sport Podcast a few weeks ago.
"Niall is just seamlessly fitting in there and so is Eddie. We have massive respect for those two people and they just fit into a great backroom team," he added.
Meanwhile, asked how he compared to his 21-year-old self making his Kilkenny senior debut in 2022, Kenny replied: "Completely different people altogether. I've come along way since 2022, becoming more obsessed with the training and off the field stuff," he revealed.
"The last two or three years, including club, I've really loved my hurling. Look, there's a lot more to improve on; you're never perfect."
