Michael Lowry
Tipperary Independent TD Michael Lowry has described the inclusion of North-West Kilkenny in the North Tipperary constituency as 'absolutely daft'.
Mr Lowry has been a TD representing the 'Premier County' since 1987.
"This is the most difficult election I've ever fought and the hardest I've ever encountered and the reason for that is that I'm starting off by already losing 5,300 Number 1 votes to South Tipperary," he explained.

"We then have a new geography, North Kilkenny has been put into North Tipperary, the people of North Kilkenny are justifiable unhappy," he added.
"It's absolutely daft, it doesn't suit the politicians and it certainly doesn't suit the people in Kilkenny who had built up friendships and alliances with their local Kilkenny TD and now they feel a sense of isolation of being cut loose."
