LATEST: Kilkenny election hopeful exits race on third count

The Irish Freedom Party's Orla Donohoe has bowed out of the race for a seat in the Carlow-Kilkenny constituency after being eliminated on the third count at the Kilkenny Count Centre at the Loreto Secondary School.

Tom Healy (Independent), John O'Leary (Independent), Noel G Walsh (Independent) and David Egan (Liberty Republic) have all also been eliminated.

Donohoe received 818 votes which will now be re-distributed on the next count.
