Newly elected Carlow-Kilkenny TD, Natasha Newsome Drennan signed the register in the Oireachtas, officially taking her seat as TD for Carlow-Kilkenny on Wednesday, December 4.
“I hit the ground running in the Dáil on Wednesday last, where I will be standing up for the people of Carlow-Kilkenny. I want to thank each and every person who voted for me. It is a huge honour and I will not let you down," she said.
“I am determined to deliver for people across the constituency and be a voice for ordinary workers and families in the Dáil. I will work tirelessly to fight for you, your family and your community.
“On the 4th of December Sinn Féin’s team of TDs met in Leinster House, along with the leadership team President Mary Lou McDonald TD and Vice President First Minister Michelle O’Neill MLA.
“We discussed our plans to deliver the change that people in Carlow and Kilkenny need. I know that people are really struggling and they want to see change. They want a government of change that will deliver on housing, health, childcare and the cost of living. They want a government for the future, that will make Ireland a better place to live and raise a family.
“I will be Carlow and Kilkenny's strong voice, standing up for the people of Carlow and Kilkenny on the issues that matter to them.”
