Kilkennywoman and Wellness Warrior pens book on menopause

Catherine O'Keeffe

Kilkenny native and founder of Wellness Warrior, Catherine O’Keeffe has penned a book on the menopause.

A self-confessed health geek, Catherine helps organisations big and small to implement a comprehensive menopause strategy that leads to meaningful change.

Catherine, who is from John Street in Kilkenny City, has helped countless women to embrace their menopause through her talks, her online course and the Menopause Success Summit.

Her new book All You Need to Know about Menopause is a helpful and much-needed guide to navigating menopause.

Drawing from the latest research the book explores on how to gain control of physical, mental and emotional symptoms and assesses the pros and cons of HRT and alternative therapies.

The book also offers information on how to negotiate the menopause in the workplace and how nutrition and exercise can help.

From hot flushes to mood swings, weight gain to joint ache, brain fog to depression, Menopause Workplace Consultant,

Catherine O’Keeffe will help women navigate the different stages, from perimenopause onwards.

“Educating women on their choices ensures they can seek and demand the right treatment - this starts with talking more about

the menopause. We are certainly making great progress in this in Ireland and globally, but there is still much to do. So many

women feel lonely and isolated in these years. This should not be the case. Women need to feel supported. So we need to open

up this conversation - for women, for families and for workplaces,” she said.

All you Need to Know about Menopause is available in bookshops and is published by O’Brien Press.
