SCAM ALERT: Gardai warn of another scam doing the rounds
Gardaí are warning members of the public to be vigilant following reports of a fraudulent email that is circulating.
"The email is purporting to be from The Commissioner of An Garda Síochána. The email alleges that the recipient has committed an offence and prompts them to make contact via email so that the matter can be dealt with.
"The email threatens an arrest if you don’t comply.
"This email is not genuine we ask anyone who receives this email to report it to their local garda station," said a garda spokesperson.
