Artists and art workers in Kilkenny encouraged to sign up to free workshop

Safe to Create is a Dignity at Work programme, funded by the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media, looking to create safer working conditions for artists and arts workers.

It provides a wide range of supports to combat harmful behaviour in the workplace, including information, training, resources, research, specialist counselling and legal advice.

The Safe to Create Dignity at Work Code of Behaviour is a key tool to enable everyone working in the arts and creative sectors to ensure workplaces are free from bullying, intimidation and harassment of any kind.

After a really well-received and attended series of 'Code on the Road' workshops last November, another series  of workshops is taking place in February to provide information on Safe to Create and support on how to sign up to and implement the Code.

Artists and arts workers of any discipline are invited to attend these free, informative workshops.

A workshop will take place at Langton's Hotel in Kilkenny from 2pm-4.30pm on February 21.
