Windy in Kilkenny today (Friday), with widespread showers, some heavy and prolonged.
Highest temperatures 11 or 12 degrees with strong and gusty southwest winds, veering westerly later.
Showers will become mostly confined to Atlantic coastal counties on Friday night with long dry and clear spells developing elsewhere.
Lowest temperatures 3 to 5 degrees as strong westerly winds ease overnight.
