Veri Connect, a leading training management company founded by CEO Ann Marie McSorley and based in Kilkenny, has been named a finalist in the Business and Finance ESG Awards for the Biodiversity Initiative category.

The award ceremony will be held on April 20 at the Mansion House in Dublin, where Veri Connect will be competing against other notable companies such as Aviva, Dublin Bus, Eversheds Sutherland, Gas Networks Ireland, and Janssen Sciences Ireland UC.

Veri Connect supplies training management, delivery, and software for large-scale training programs to public and private sector organisations who need to capture data about their existing programs. The company specialises in key areas such as biodiversity and sustainability.

Their in-house biodiversity department is led by Dr Amanda Greer, Head of Sustainability and their highly trained ecologists are strategically positioned throughout the country enabling them to deliver their services nationally. Other aspects of the business include employability, mentorship, and wellness programs, in addition to building industry-specific custom training solutions for large organisations who require a more bespoke approach.

Veri Connect's team enables effective program delivery and compliance sustainably through digitization. By removing paperwork, the company is passionate about making the communities and businesses they serve more green. Veri Connect has spearheaded several large-scale programmes, including Wild Work. Delivered across 20 locations, the Wild Work training programme had almost 500 participants and was the largest biodiversity training programme ever undertaken in Ireland.

“Wild Work is an exceptional example of a co-operation project that is delivering real, tangible results on the ground, empowering others to continue the work long after the training programme ends," said Taoiseach Micheál Martin.

"It is an important tool in terms of our local and national response to the climate emergency and complements the efforts of other groups, agencies and individuals."

The company says it is honoured to be recognised as a finalist in the Business and Finance ESG Awards and is committed to providing scalable solutions that drive value for clients while contributing positively to society and the environment.
