Established in 2014, The YesChef Awards seeks out and recognises talent across a wide range of categories. This week the Chef Ireland Awards 2023 was held in Dundalk, with two Kilkenny restaurants crowned as Best Steakhouse in Lenister, Best Rising Star of the Year, and Best Outdoor dining area of the year.
Owners of King's Mill Restuarant Wojciech & Agata Rybak received two awards for Raising Star of the Year & Outdoor dining area of the year at the YesChef Awards
It's the second year in a row for King's Mill in Kells, County Kilkenny to win the prestigious YesChef Awards on a national level. Last year, the family run Italian restaurant on the banks of King's River won two awards for "The Best Italian Restaurant of the year" and "Newcomer of the year.
This week at the National YesChef Awards Gala, King's Mill proudly won another two awards, for "Raising Star of the Year" and "Outdoor dining area of the year".
Proprietor Agata Rybak "We are so thrilled, especially because my Father was in fact the one who built our patio for the last half year. It has our beautiful river view, and I loved that we could honour him for all his hard work. We are still full of emotions and over the moon as well as excited for new plans ahead."
"Winning in different categories of awards truly shows that we are not staying in the same place, we are constantly upgrading and bringing our restaurant to the next level in our family business."

Butcher Kilkenny won Best Steakhouse in Lenister at the YesChef Awards. Owner Mark Williams said, "We are delighted to be recognised again this year for our work as a Steakhouse considering we supply the restaurant with our own beef on our farm in Kilkenny. We will be changing up our menu in the coming weeks for Summer so keep an eye out for more mouth watering dishes."
