Age-old rivals Freebooters and Evergreen set to meet in Derdimus Park in the McCalmont Cup final this Sunday 28th at 15:30.

After a tough match last weekend against Callan Utd, Evergreen managed to pry the semi final win from the Callan men in a 4-3 penalty shootout putting them through to the final of the McCalmont Cup in Derdimus park this coming Sunday.

On the other hand Freebooters managed to secure their place with a solid 2-0 win over Deen Celtic last Sunday. Although Deen Celtic put up a good fight creating a few chances throughout the game Harry Jordan and Sean Bolger proved too much for Celtic’s defence and Booters came out with a dominant win.

Although Freebooters are the favourites heading into the final this Sunday Evergreen won't let it go easily making for an exciting weekend of Kilkenny football to come.
