Boost for South Kilkenny as Kilmacow to get fund for flood relief

Some relief may be on the way for flood-hit property owners in South Kilkenny following confirmation of funding for works.

Minister of State with responsibility for the OPW Patrick O’Donovan has announced the approval of Kilkenny County Council’s application for funding under the Office of Public Works’ Minor Flood Mitigation Works and Coastal Protection Scheme.

Under the scheme, the OPW has approved funding of €33,750 for proposed works, which will include the installation of a new 350m open drain at Rathcurby, Kilmacow.
