Lucy Coogan in action
Young Muckalee woman Lucy Coogan flew to Zagreb, Croatia with the Irish U20 Women's Basketball Team on Friday. The team played a series of preparation games in their build up to the Fiba U20 European Championships which is set to kick off July 26 in Craiova, Romania.
Coogan is part of a 12 Woman squad led by head coach Karl Kilbride. The team are continuing to build on their experience and are looking forward to the weeks ahead. Coogan is so excited to be representing her country yet again as she wears the Irish jersey with pride.
Two U16 Kilkenny Stars, Faye McDonnell and Kaitlyn Summers followed in Coogan’s footsteps as they wore the country colours in Luxembourg over the weekend in preparation for their European Championship in August.
Great times for all three players from the Kilkenny Stars Basketball Club.
