Market Cross Shopping Centre
Market Cross Shopping Centre in Kilkenny picked up a special award at the KKB annual awards night.
The award was in recognition of remarks made by IBAL judges remarks 2023, with one judge describing it in particularly glowing terms.
“The cleanest shopping centre this surveyor has ever seen! There wasn’t even a cigarette butt to be seen. Some of the bins provided the opportunity to separate waste into recycling," the adjudicator noted.
The best and brightest of Kilkenny’s private gardens, housing estates and streets, beautiful business premises and outstanding environmentalists were feted on Monday evening this week at the annual Keep Kilkenny Beautiful (KKB) awards night.
They defied the inclement weather to turn out for the special event at the Rivercourt Hotel. Heritage Minister Malcolm Noonan, Mayor of Kilkenny Joe Malone, Cathaoirleach of Kilkenny County Council Michael Doyle. Keynote speaker was Caitriona Corr, Kilkenny County Council’s cycling officer.
