Renowned chef Rachel Allen set for stage at Savour Kilkenny this weekend

Renowned chef Rachel Allen will take to the stage at Savour Kilkenny this weekend. The culinary celebration, a highlight on the Kilkenny calendar, takes place from October 27-30. 

Food enthusiasts and festival-goers alike can look forward to a memorable culinary experience as Rachel Allen shares her culinary expertise and passion in a Farm to Fork Tour of Flavour event at Statham’s Restaurant in the Pembroke Hotel at 7.30pm on Saturday, October 28. Rachel will also host a dairy filled demo on the Savour stage on Sunday, October 29 at 1.30pm. Both events are kindly sponsored by the National Dairy Council and ‘Milk! Good to know it’s good’ campaign.

Rachel Allen is a celebrity chef and television presenter from Ballymaloe in Ireland. She is best known for her work as a cook, teacher and presenter of her popular cooking shows including.

Before her television career, Rachel trained at the famous Ballymaloe Cookery School in Cork where she still teaches today.  

Rachel has also authored multiple best-selling cookbooks, including Rachel’s Favourite Food, Home Cooking, and Rachel’s Food for Living, which have all been hugely popular. She is highly regarded for her simple, yet delicious recipes, and her emphasis on quality ingredients and traditional cooking methods. With her warm personality and passion for food, Rachel Allen has become one of the most beloved chefs in Ireland and around the world.    

With her extensive experience and warm, engaging personality, Rachel promises to captivate the audience and elevate the festival to a whole new level.

The four day festival also includes appearances from Irish and international chefs and food personalities including Darina Allen, Rory O’Connell, Kevin Dundon, Dylan McGrath, Jess Murphy, Arun Kapil, Nathalie Lennon, Conor Spacey, Edward Hayden with Anne Neary, former athlete Derval O’Rourke, singer Jake Carter, and Dancing with the Stars judge Brian Redmond.
