Kilkenny Yulefest bandstand to bring hours of music across all weekends in December

KILKENNY

Yulefest’s bandstand will showcase live music performances throughout every weekend in December.

The bandstand is located on the Parade beside the Yulefest markets.

From local community groups, to rising talent and well-established local performers, free to the public performances take place at noon, 2pm and 4pm every Saturday and Sunday until December 23.

Bands featuring on the Yulefest Bandstand include: The New Brass Kings, Code of Behaviour, Burnchurch, The Pinsetters, Harmania choir among many more. The full line-up includes:

Saturday, December 2
Noon – IF;
2pm – Trad with Derek Morrissey and Brian Mooney;
4pm – Harmania Choir.

Sunday, December 3
Noon – Spinc Comhaltas;
2pm – The Savage Jim Breen;
4pm – Whiskers of Lichen.

Saturday, December 9
Noon – Alize’s School of Singing;
2pm – The Presidents;
4pm – Rhythm Riot.

Sunday, December 10
Noon – Music Generation Kilkenny – Jingle Bell Rockout;
2pm – Oracle Villa;
4pm – Social Dancing with The Dance Club Kilkenny

Saturday, December 16
Noon – Kilkenny Academy of Irish Dancing;
2pm – The Pinsetters;
3pm – John Nolan’s Children’s Dance School;
4pm – Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann Croabh Osraí.

Sunday, December 17
11am – Samba Katz
Noon - Trad with Oisín MacCinnéide (Bouziki and Guitar) and Kevin Shortall (Button Accordion);
2pm – Uproar Choir;
4pm – The Donnys

Thursday, December 21
Morning (time TBC) – Morning of School Choirs

Friday, December 22
Noon - Mick Citern-Walsh;
2pm – Bobbie Carey and Carole Nelson;
4pm – Burnchurch;
6 and 7pm - Code of Behaviour

Saturday, December 23
Noon – Sola;
2pm - Banna Cheoil Traidisiúnta with Clann Sabhaois;
3pm – John Nolan’s Children’s Dance School;
4pm - Kiddies Christmas Disco - wear your Christmas Jumper.
