Lenker to perform solo concert at St Canice’s Cathedral in Kilkenny

Adrianne Lenker will perform on April 20

Lead singer of American indie band Big Thief, Adrianne Lenker will perform in a very special solo concert in Kilkenny’s St Canice’s Cathedral on April 20.

The intimate Concert in St. Canice’s Cathedral, will also feature special guest Ellie O’Neill.

Adrianne’s new single ‘Ruined’ is a heart-breaking, remarkable intro to Lenker’s highly anticipated new solo album which will be coming in 2024. Lenker is a generational songwriter, performing at an unprecedented scale and continuing to surprise listeners.

On ‘Ruined’, Lenker moves to the piano for the first time, lamenting,

“Can’t get enough of you // You come around I’m ruined.” A powerful torch song that demands attention, ‘Ruined’ is destined to stay with you after its final notes fade.

The accompanying ‘Ruined’ video was directed by Adrianne’s brother Noah Lenker, and collages gorgeous footage of Lenker in autumnal foliage. It’s a breath-taking mosaic of Lenker soaking in riverbeds, basking in the afternoon sun, and dancing along tree-lined paths.
