Kilkenny's Mount Juliet Estate celebrates historic wins at 59Club Excellence Awards 2024

Mount Juliet Estate has been awarded a trio of wins at the 59Club’s prestigious annual awards. Winning the supreme ‘Ultimate Resort in the UK and Ireland’, in addition, Mount Juliet Estate has been awarded the Gold Flag Destination for the fourth consecutive year and Mount Juliet Estate Clubhouse Manager Eddie Devane won Food & Beverage Manager of the Year.

Held in the Titanic Hotel Liverpool on February 29th, the 59Club Awards are considered the Oscars of the golfing industry, recognising the highest standards of golfing experience for the customer, guest, or member. Nomination for the awards is secured through a measured mystery shopping program with the 59Club team, resulting in leading venues from across England, Ireland, Scotland, and Wales qualifying for the prestigious accolades.

Mount Juliet Estate earned nominations in six categories, winning three:

Mount Juliet Estate – ‘Ultimate Resort in the UK & Ireland’ (Winner)

Golf Flag Destination Nomination (Gold Flag winner)

Matt Sandercock PGA Fellow – Nominated for ‘Golf Manager of the Year’

Martin Lehane - GreenKeeper of the Year

Eddie Devane – Food & Beverage Manager of the Year (Winner)

Pamela O’Keeffe - Membership Sales Performance 

On the nominations and wins, including the winning of the most prestigious award of the evening the ‘Ultimate Resort in the UK & Ireland’, Matt Sandercock the Mount Juliet Estate Director of Golf said,
