Saturday is Holden Plant Rentals Day at Kilkenny's Gowran Park racing track.
The feature event is the €50,000 Holden Plant Rentals Shamrock Chase and The Coolmeen Gallops Beginners Chase.
This seven race national hunt card will also feature the Tetratema Cup Hunters Steeplechase run over the famed Thyestes Course and distance.
This is the qualified riders Thyestes Chase which was won in brilliant style last year by Patrick Mullins on Prince De Beauchene.
Eddie Scally General Manager of Gowran Park said the Holden Plant Rentals Day was a very exciting one for all national hunt fans with three very different chases complimented by three hurdle races and a bumper.
“For the South East punters it’s your last chance to get the information regarding the Irish chances at Cheltenham with all our big stars present,” he reminded.
“Adding to the excitement this year is the Rodger Sweeney trained Hunter Chaser Salsify, winner of the Foxhunters Chase at Cheltenham in 2013 and 2014, who looks set to take his place in the Tetratema Cup,” he pointed out.
Paul Holden, CEO of Holden Plant Rentals, said they were delighted to again be title sponsors for this full national hunt card at Gowran Park racecourse.
Holden Plant Rentals have a great tradition in supporting local sporting organisations, and with their Race Day they are able to thank clients whilst enjoying a great days racing.
“We are also delighted to be launching our new state of the art horse training facility in Coolmeen, which is now open for business,” Paul pointed out.
