Kilkenny city is the only place to be this weekend for the 10th instalment of Savour Kilkenny. After a decade it has become an overnight sensation with thousands expected today, tomorrow and Monday for what has to be the most friendly and fun food festival in the country.

For most the Savour Market on the Parade in the shadow of Kilkrnny castle is the Mecca.

Full of fantastic, mouthwatering stalls liked pulled pork, all types of meat and drinks from the very best of artisan food producers on the island.

Edward Hayden, chef, TV star, culinary expert and food writer said that the secret of Savour Kilkenny's success is the labyrinth of fine food producers scattered around the area, as well as the great restaurants in the city and the people.

“Savour Kilkenny has captured the essence of bringing great Irish food to the public in an informal setting mixed in with a good bit of humour and passion for food,” he said.

There are dozens of things to go and see and experience you can catch it all on
