Hermitage Genetics have been named Kilkenny Business of the year at the local business awards run by Kilkenny Chamber and sponsored by glanbia.
The family owned business, founded in 1958, won two previous categories.
Other winners were Paddy Kenna, local butcher, with a lifetime achievement award and Kathleen Moran of Kilkenny Design Centre who won the president's award.
