Kilkenny hurling legend Henry Shefflin has become the latest Irish sports personality (Rory McElroy, Brian O’Driscoll, Bernard Brogan) to lend support to Ireland’s bid to host the 2023 Rugby World Cup.
This week, he was in Croke Park giving a hurling clinic to World Rugby’s Technical Assessment group.
Henry didn't hesitate when contacted by bid chairman Dick Spring and asked if would assist in making World Rugby’s two-day tour a memorable one by displaying some of his magic once again on Croke Park’s hallowed turf during their visit to the ground.
The former Kilkenny sharpshooter displayed his wonderful talents and regaled the group with stories of his many experiences in front of a packed Croke Park.
