Two males were arrested following the seizure of cannabis from their vehicle on Saturday evening.
Gardaí stopped the car at approximately 10.40pm on Bateman's Quay in the city centre.
Both men were found to be in possession of cannabis and were arrested and questioned at Kilkenny Garda Station.
They were subsequently released without charge and a file is being prepared for the DPP.
