Kilkenny families invited to prove their mettle on RTE's Ireland's Fittest Family

Pride and prize money up for grabs

Kilkenny families invited to prove their mettle on RTE's Ireland's Fittest Family

The Griffin family from Kilkenny did really well last year.

Families in Kilkenny are being invited to prove their mettle and take home the prize money on RTE television show Ireland’s Fittest Family, which is back for a fifth series.

Since its creation, Ireland’s Fittest Family has seen four families take home the title –  the O’Reillys from Cavan, the Kingstons from Cork, the O’ Brien Devines from Waterford and last year’s Cummins family from Tipperary.

There are no shortage of local fitness fanatics, and last year, the Griffins represented Kilkenny in Ireland's Fittest Family and did really well.

If you think your family has what it takes to be this year’s winner and take home a prize €15,000, there is still time to apply. RTE is searching the country to find the fittest, fastest and strongest families Ireland has to offer.

The application form and rules can be found at: rte.ie/irelandsfittestfamily. Theclosing date for applications is Friday, May 19.
