The Kilkenny Roots Festival continues to draw huge, appreciative crowds to the city.
Ticket sales for this year's weekend are the highest ever and the good news is that there are two more nights.
One of the highlights of the weekend is the presence of Yola Carter and her band. Her voice is incredible and she sold out The Set in John Street last night, leaving the audience chanting her name for 10 minutes at the end.
And the good news is that this incredible artist plays Kyteler's Inn tonight with a few tickets still available.
Another huge hit with fans is the band Marah, the Philadelphia based, roots-rockers. They are in The Set. and the advice is to get their early.
Founder of the festival, John Cleere said he was astonished by the reaction to the 20 year old event and said that people just kept coming back to the Roots for the music and for the conviviality of the city.
