Deaths in Kilkenny, May 4 2017

The late Marie Murphy (nee Tynan)

The death has occurred of Marie Murphy (née Tynan), Rockview, Clorinka, Muckalee, Kilkenny

Peacefully in the loving care of the doctors, nurses and staff of St. Luke's Hospital, Kilkenny, surrounded by her loving family, after a short illness. Maria will be sadly missed by her loving husband, Patsy, her sons, Aidan and Mark, her daughter, Paula, her mother, Ethna, sister, Ann, brothers, Tom and Seamus, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nephews and nieces and a whole circle of family and friends.

 Reposing at her home on Thursday from 2 p.m. with Rosary at 8 p.m. House private on Friday morning. Requiem Mass on Friday morning at 11 a.m. in St. Brendan's Church, Muckalee, followed by burial in adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only please.

The late Vincent Dunne

The death has occurred of Vincent Dunne, Old Callan Road, Kilkenny City, Kilkenny

Died Tuesday the 2nd of May (suddenly). He will be sadly missed by his loving sisters Ann, Josephine, Mary, Patricia, Irene, Catherine and Geraldine, brother P.J, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.


Reposing at his home from 5p.m. on Wednesday. Rosary on Thursday at 8p.m. Funeral on Friday after 11a.m. Requiem Mass in St. Mary's Cathedral to St. Kieran's Cemetery. House private on Friday please.

The late John Cowman

The death has occurred of John Cowman, Thomastown, Kilkenny and Baldoyle, Dublin.

Peacefully, after a short illness at St. Vincent's University Hospital; John will be sadly missed by his daughter Melissa and grandson Joshua, brothers David and Mick, sisters Mary and Mags, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

 Reposing at Staffords Funeral Home, Strand Rd, Portmarnock this Thursday 4th May from 6pm to 8pm. Funeral service on Friday afternoon at 1pm in Dardistown Crematorium. Family flowers only please.
