Piltown budget cut in wake of Kilkenny County Council's deficit

A wall that fell down at a house on Rockshire Road in Ferrybank - which is exposing a person’s back garden - is a “private matter”, Kilkenny County Council have said.

At this month’s meeting of Piltown Municipal District, Councillor Ger Frisby asked how far down the line the Council is with the wall that fell down.

A Council official said it is a “privately owned wall” but maybe it could be looked at under dangerous structures.

Cllr Frisby said the householder will have the cost of reinstating the wall if the Council does not. The official added: “It is a private matter but we can look at it under dangerous structures.”
