Kilkenny County Council has spent almost €30,000 on landscaping for Ferrybank, a meeting of Piltown Municipal District was told this month.

Senior engineer at the Council, Ian Gardner, gave a breakdown to members of landscape costs, materials, labour and plants for Ferrybank.

The costs include hedge planting of Field Maple and Hawthorn in double staggered rows along the fence-line at Newrath for 903 metres.

They also include planting of Norway Maple along the approach from New Ross at Mile Post.
