Paddy Power reveals odds for a white Christmas in Kilkenny

The odds of being able to build a snowman in Kilkenny on Christmas Day are...

Bookmaker Paddy Power has revealed that the odds of a white Christmas in Kilkenny are 7/1.

Given the mercurial weather year it has been, people might be willing to take a punt on the odds as the Festive season begins.

Kilkenny's odds are more favourable than other counties. Dublin's odds of snow on December 25 are 5/1 with Cork and Belfast  the same.

Any bet applies to snow being recorded at the city's main international airport weather station on December 25, 2017.

However, for Kilkenny the bookmaker will go with an official line from Met Éireann reports from the main weather observatory station for Kilkenny, which is situated in the Nore Valley about 2km north west of the city.
