Heavy falls of snow 'likely' in Kilkenny on Sunday

Temperatures may drop as low as -4 or -5 in places

WINTER HAS COME

Roads and footpaths likely to be icy and very hazardous in these conditions

Kilkenny can expect heavy falls of snow tomorrow morning and afternoon, and temperatures may plummet as low as -4 or -5 in some areas overnight into Monday morning.

Kilkenny County Council has said that information coming from the National Coordination Centre is that heavy falls of snow are likely in all but extreme southern areas on Sunday morning and Sunday afternoon, December 10.

Temperatures as low as minus 4 or 5 degrees are expected in some areas on Sunday night/Monday morning. This could result in roads and footpaths likely to be icy and very hazardous for most of Monday morning and caution should be exercised.

Further updates will be provided once received.
