Paddy 'The Breadman' laid to rest

From 2014 - Paddy 'The Breadman' Coogan with Alana Fearon ahead of the All Ireland senior hurling win against Tipperary

Paddy 'The Breadman' Coogan from Pearse Street in Kilkenny city will be buried tomorrow (Friday).

The popular 74-year-old worked as a breadman all his life and was much loved in the Butts area of the city.

He had been in failing health and passed away suddenly on November 28. His neighbour said of him; "he managed to go through life without an enemy in the world."

His remains will repose at Hehir's Funeral Home from 4pm today (Thursday) with funeral prayers at 5pm followed by removal to St. Canice's Church. Funeral tomorrow (Friday) after 11am requiem Mass in St Canice's  to St. Kieran's Cemetery.
