Breaking: Suspect appears in Kilkenny court over drugs seizure

A 19-year-old has appeared in court charged in connection with a drugs seizure in the city yesterday (Thursday) evening.

Przemyslaw Strachzynski, 2 Middleknock, Old Dublin Road appeared in court charged with having drugs in his possession for sale or supply to others.

Detective Garda Jason Crotty told the court that gardaí had no objection to bail subject to a number of conditions.

Judge Colin Daly granted bail on the conditions that the defendant reside at his address, sign on daily at Kilkenny Garda Station, provide gardaí with contact phone and make a cash lodgement of €200. He remanded the defendant on bail to appear at Kilkenny District Court on March 20 for DPP's election. 

The court heard that the value of the alleged drugs is €20,000.
