John Edward Nolan, from Nore Terrace in Kilkenny City, returned to St John’s Senior Primary School to talk to the students and the professional dancer was asked how long his make-up takes to put on.

The popular Kilkenny native, who dances with celebrity and actress Deirdre O’Kane on the hit series Dancing with the Stars on RTÉ, said they train a minimum of 6-8 hours a day for the programme.

In response to the make-up question, John revealed that the dancers get their spray tan done on Saturdays after rehearsals.

He added that on Sunday at noon they get their make-up done and again at 4pm and again at 6pm before the show starts “just to make sure”.

John and Deirdre will be dancing this evening on RTÉ's Dancing with the Stars and to vote during the show, you can text ‘DEIRDRE’ to 53125 or call 1513 7171 08.
