Former Labour TD for Carlow-Kilkenny, Mayor of Kilkenny, MEP and Ceann Comhairle of the Dail from 1997 to 2002, Seamus Pattison will be buried tomorrow, Tuesday.
Mr Pattison died peacefully, in the loving care of Anna and the staff at Archersrath Nursing Home on Sunday. He was predeceased by his parents James P and Ellen and his nephew Paul.
He is survived by his brothers Mgr. Francis (San Diego), Joe (Dublin) and Michael (Limerick), sisters-in-law Eilis and Carmel, nephew Eoin, nieces Lorraine, Eimear, Caitriona and Annette, extended family and friends.
Reposing at St. Patrick's Church, College Road, Kilkenny today, Monday from 5 to 8pm with Rosary and vigil prayers at 7pm. Requiem Mass on Tuesday at 12 noon. Funeral afterwards to Foulkstown Cemetery. House private please.
